History

  • 1977 - Specialty Bolt & Screw (SBS) opens its doors in a 3,000 sq. ft. facility in Agawam, Massachusetts.
  • 1986 – Overseas manufacturing partnerships flourish and SBS has its first international sale.
  • 1992 - SBS is a founding member of the iPower Integrated Supply Chain organization. Remaining an active member to the present day.
  • 1995 - SBS opens new 50,000 sq. ft. facility on Bowles Road in Agawam, Massachusetts. 
  • 1996 - SBS builds a new 25,000 sq. ft. facility in Valcourt, Quebec Canada.
  • 1997 - SBS awarded ISO Certification.
  • 1999 - SBS is selected as one of five companies to work with the US Congress to secure passage of the Fastener Quality Act of 1999.
  • 2006 - SBS opens a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility in Juarez, Mexico.
  • 2008 - SBS is a founding member of the Global Supply Alliance, a group of five distributors focused on leveraging buying power in Asia, facilitating sales around the globe.
  • 2012 - Specialty Bolt & Screw officially rebrands to SBS Inc. 
  • 2012 - SBS opens new facility in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
  • 2013 - SBS opens new facility in Rovaniemi, Finland.
  • 2015 - SBS opens new facilities in Escondido, California and Queretaro, Mexico.
  • 2016 - SBS constructs clean room in Agawam location as value-added service for clients.
  • 2017 - SBS opens new facility in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.
